In a mixing bowl, blend the breadcrumbs with the grated parmesan cheese. In a separate bowl, melt the butter until it’s liquid.
Gently coat the chicken with the melted butter, then immerse it into the breadcrumb and cheese mixture, ensuring it’s well covered.
Once your air fryer is preheated, place the coated chicken pieces in the basket, working in batches if necessary, and give the tops a light spritz with cooking oil.
Set the air fryer to 360°F and cook for 5 minutes. After that, flip the chicken and spoon 2 tablespoons of sauce on each piece, followed by 1 ½ tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Continue to cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted to your liking.
