Using an air fryer to prepare egg salad might not be the first method that comes to mind, but it’s my favorite! Hard boiling eggs in the air fryer is incredibly simple—no need for water, which means you can enjoy quick cleanup afterward.

Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs
  • fresh black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives or scallions
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

    Arrange the eggs in the basket of the air fryer and adjust the setting to 250°F.

    Allow them to cook for 15 to 16 minutes, adjusting according to your air fryer's specifications until the eggs reach a hard-boiled state (cooking time may differ based on the model of your air fryer). It’s advisable to experiment with one egg first to gauge how your appliance performs before preparing a larger batch.

    After the eggs are finished cooking, take them out of the air fryer and place them under cold running water.

    Carefully peel the shells off the eggs and chop them into small pieces.

    In a different bowl, combine the mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.

    Incorporate the chopped eggs and chives into the bowl with the mayonnaise mixture. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly blended.
