Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 sirloin steaks
  • olive oil spray
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika

Equipment Needed

  • Air Fryer (I love this pretty white one from AllCool)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small mixing bowl, blend together the spices until well combined.

  2. 2

Lightly mist the steak with olive oil, ensuring to evenly cover both sides with the spice mixture.

  3. 3

Preheat the air fryer to ensure the basket is hot. For a steak that is 1 inch thick, set the temperature to 400°F and air fry for 10 minutes, flipping it halfway through for a medium-rare finish. If you prefer it medium, extend the cooking time to 12 minutes, remembering to turn it halfway. Refer to the temperature guide below as cooking times may slightly differ based on your air fryer model and the thickness of the steaks.

  4. 4

Sprinkle a little extra salt and black pepper over the steak for added flavor.

  5. 5

Allow the steak to rest under a foil tent for 5 minutes before slicing to ensure the juices redistribute.
