Begin by heating up the air fryer. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking oil.
Remove the skin from each sweet potato and cut them into uniform planks that are 1/4-inch thick, then slice those planks into 1/4-inch thick fries.
In a mixing bowl, combine the fries with oil, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Set the air fryer to 380°F and cook the fries for approximately 12 minutes, working in 2 or 3 batches to avoid overcrowding. Remember to turn the fries or shake the basket halfway through the cooking time.
Once cooked, move the sweet potato fries to a large serving plate and enjoy them immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Remove the skin from each sweet potato and cut them into uniform planks that are 1/4-inch thick, then slice those planks into 1/4-inch thick fries.
Soak the sweet potato pieces in a large bowl filled with hot tap water for 10 minutes. After soaking, drain the potatoes and place them on a paper towel-lined rimmed baking sheet, patting them dry thoroughly.
In a clean, dry bowl, mix the sweet potatoes with 1 teaspoon of oil, then transfer them all to the air fryer basket.
Insert the basket into the air fryer (no preheating required) and set it to 350°F for 8 minutes. After that time, shake the basket and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
Once finished, return the sweet potatoes to an empty bowl and toss them with the remaining oil, salt, and spices.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil again and place the sweet potatoes back in.
Raise the temperature to 380°F and cook until the fries are golden brown and crispy, which will take about 4 to 5 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Finally, transfer the sweet potato fries to a large plate and serve them immediately alongside your preferred dipping sauce.
