In a medium-sized heavy-bottomed pot with a snug-fitting lid, warm the oil over medium heat.
Introduce the sofrito to the pot and sauté it until it softens and releases its aroma, stirring for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Incorporate the rinsed beans and rice into the pot, mixing everything together thoroughly.
