Begin by setting your oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 9 x 13 x 3-inch Pyrex Deep baking dish with cooking spray or oil.
Place a large skillet on the stove over medium heat. Add the oil along with the shallots, sautéing them until they become tender, which should take around 6 to 8 minutes.
