Ingredients

  • 36 chicken wingettes and drummettes
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 4 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • kosher salt
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 carrots
  • low fat blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp Franks hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1

In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with 2 tablespoons of hot sauce, vinegar, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, a pinch of salt (1/4 teaspoon), and black pepper according to your taste preferences.

  2. 2

Stir the mixture thoroughly and allow it to marinate for 30 minutes.

  3. 3

Arrange the wings on a broiler rack and broil them on the low setting, positioning them approximately 8 inches away from the heating element (the second rack from the top). Broil for about 10-12 minutes on each side, keeping a close eye to prevent burning, as oven temperatures can vary. Ensure they are cooked through and nicely browned before taking them out.

  4. 4

As the chicken is broiling, gently heat the remaining hot sauce until it is warm.

  5. 5

Coat the cooked wings in the warmed hot sauce and transfer them to a serving platter.

  6. 6

Accompany with strips of celery and carrot, along with blue cheese dressing for dipping.
