Begin by heating your grill to a high temperature with the lid closed. Prepare 4 large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil, each measuring 10 x 18 inches, and lay them out flat on a work surface.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the vegetables with olive oil, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and black pepper, ensuring they are evenly coated. Distribute this mixture equally among the 4 pieces of foil, placing it in the center of each.
In another medium bowl, mix together ground turkey, oatmeal, 3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce, chopped onion, egg, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and marjoram until well blended. Portion this mixture into 4 equal segments and shape each into a free-form loaf measuring approximately 4 x 2½ inches. Place these loaves on top of the vegetable bed in the foil. Brush the remaining 3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce over the tops of the loaves.
Fold up the long sides of the foil so that they meet over the meatloaf, then double fold the ends to seal, ensuring there is enough space for heat to circulate inside. Finally, double fold the two shorter ends to create a tight seal, preventing any steam from escaping.
Grill the packets with the lid on, placing them directly over the flames for 10 minutes. Afterward, transfer them to a cooler part of the grill (indirect heat) and continue cooking until the meatloaf is thoroughly done in the center, which should take around 20 to 25 minutes. Use gloves or tongs to carefully remove the packets and open them with caution. If desired, serve with additional BBQ sauce drizzled on top.
For oven baking, preheat your oven to 425°F and cook the packets for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
