Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 pound 93% ground chicken
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 8 ounces sliced cremini mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • egg noodles, high-fiber pasta, veggies noodles or gluten-free noodles
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

    In a blender, mix the water, sour cream, flour, bouillon, and paprika until the mixture is completely smooth.

    Preheat a large nonstick skillet over high heat and apply a light coating of oil. Introduce the chicken and season with salt, cooking for approximately 5 minutes while breaking the meat into smaller pieces.

    Lower the heat to medium and add the onions along with the tomato paste to the skillet. Sauté, stirring frequently, until the onions are tender, which should take around 4 to 5 minutes.

    Incorporate the mushrooms, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce into the mixture.

    Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and bring the entire mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the chicken is tender.
