Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Olive oil spray
  • 3 1/2 lbs turkey breast, boneless and skin on
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 pound yukon gold potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1

Begin by setting your oven temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

In a bowl, combine all the spices along with the brown sugar until well blended.

  3. 3

Gently lift the skin away from the turkey meat and apply half of the spice mixture evenly onto the turkey.

  4. 4

Place the turkey skin-side down on your baking sheet, then distribute the remaining spices over the top of the turkey breast.

  5. 5

Insert the turkey into the oven and allow it to roast while you get the vegetables ready (the turkey will need approximately 35 minutes to cook).

  6. 6

In a mixing bowl, coat the carrots and potatoes with oil, seasoning them with salt and pepper as you toss.

  7. 7

Spread the seasoned vegetables onto the baking sheet alongside the turkey.

  8. 8

Arrange the cabbage wedges on the sheet and give them a light spray with olive oil for flavor.

  9. 9

Place the vegetable-laden baking sheet into the oven and let everything cook for an additional 30 minutes.

  10. 10

Take the dish out of the oven once the turkey is fully cooked and the vegetables have started to develop a golden color.

  11. 11

Discard the turkey skin and serve your delicious meal.
