Ingredients

  • olive oil spray
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs
  • 1/3 cup crushed cornflakes crumbs
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/4 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 6 center cut boneless pork chops
  • kosher salt

Equipment Needed

  • Air Fryer

Instructions

  1. 1

Give the air fryer basket a light coating of oil using a spray.

  2. 2

Generously sprinkle 1/2 tsp of kosher salt on both sides of the pork chops.

  3. 3

In a large shallow bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs, crushed cornflakes, grated parmesan cheese, 3/4 tsp of kosher salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and black pepper.

  4. 4

In a separate bowl, beat an egg. Dip each pork chop into the egg, allowing the excess to drip off, then coat it in the crumb mixture.

  5. 5

Arrange the coated pork chops in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are in a single layer. Lightly mist the tops with additional oil and air fry at 400°F, cooking in batches if necessary.

  6. 6

Cook for 12 minutes, flipping the pork chops halfway through and giving both sides a quick spritz of oil.

Notes & Tips

  • No Air Fryer, No Problem! Use my Baked Pork Chop Recipe
  • Cornflake Crumbs are sold near breadcrumbs. If you don’t have, you can buy corn flakes, and crush them yourself.
  • To make these breaded pork chops gluten-free, use gluten-free corn flakes like Nature’s Path.
  • You can use bone-in pork chops or thinner boneless ones if you prefer. The cooking time will vary, so check them every few minutes to make sure you don’t overcook them.
