Crock Pot Balsamic Pork Roast

There's something incredibly satisfying about preparing pork in a slow cooker; the convenience is unmatched, and the meat becomes so tender it practically disintegrates at the touch. In this recipe, the pork is infused with a delightful blend of balsamic vinegar and honey, creating a deliciously tangy flavor that I can't get enough of!

Ingredients

  • 2 pound boneless pork shoulder roast
  • kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. 1

Rub the pork with salt, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes, then transfer it into the slow cooker.

  2. 2

In a separate bowl, combine the broth, balsamic vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce, then pour this mixture over the pork.

  3. 3

Drizzle the honey on top, and set the slow cooker to cook on High for 4 hours or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

  4. 4

When the pork is fully cooked and easily shreds with a fork, carefully lift it from the slow cooker using tongs and place it into a serving dish.

  5. 5

Gently separate the meat using two forks, then return it to the slow cooker.

  6. 6

Spoon ½ cup of the sauce over the pork and keep it warm until you’re ready to serve.
