Ingredients

  • 2 bunches broccolini
  • pinch red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • kosher salt
  • 6 cloves peeled garlic

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut approximately 1 1/2 inches off the ends of the broccolini stems and discard. Halve the broccolini lengthwise.

  2. 2

Fill a pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Once boiling, introduce the broccolini and let it cook for 2 minutes. Quickly strain the broccolini and rinse it under cold water to halt the cooking process.

  3. 3

Place a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Pour in the oil and add the minced garlic, sautéing until it turns golden, which should take about 1 minute. Incorporate the drained broccolini, seasoning with kosher salt to your liking and adding red pepper flakes if desired. Cook for an additional minute, or until the broccolini is warmed through.
