Begin by setting your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.
Pour approximately 1 cup of sauce into the base of a 9 x 12 inch or large oval baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
In the meantime, bring a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the instructions on the package, then drain them well.
In a spacious mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, pesto, the egg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and black pepper. Stir the mixture until it's well blended.
Lay a piece of wax paper on your countertop and arrange the lasagna noodles on top.
