Begin by setting your oven temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a small mixing bowl, blend together the onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and brown sugar until well incorporated.
In a large bowl, combine the squash with melted butter and olive oil. Add 1 tablespoon of the spice blend to the squash and mix thoroughly to ensure an even coating.
Spread the seasoned squash onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes for uniform browning. After the initial cooking time, sprinkle an additional 1 1/2 teaspoons of the spice mixture over the squash. Toss gently to distribute and serve while hot.
