  • cup fat free milk
  • 2 tablespoons egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

In a sizable mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar (if you're including it) using a whisk.

  2. 2

Add the sourdough discard, milk, egg whites, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Gently stir with a spatula until everything is just blended.

Preheat a mini waffle iron and lightly grease it with oil. Spoon in ¼ cup of the batter and cook until the waffles turn a golden brown and the indicator light goes off. Remove the waffle and continue this process until all the batter has been utilized.

  4. 4

Enjoy the waffles warm, topped with your preferred accompaniments.
