  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp canola or vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 5 cups edamame
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • freshly ground pepper

    *If using frozen edamame, transfer it to a microwave-safe dish and microwave for 2-3 minutes, or until fully thawed.

    In a separate small bowl, mix together the orange zest, cayenne pepper, sesame seeds, and black pepper. Set this mixture aside.

    In a small saucepan, heat soy sauce, chicken broth, and honey over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil.

    Allow the sauce to simmer, stirring occasionally, until it has reduced by half, which should take about 5 to 6 minutes.

    While that’s happening, warm a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
