Ingredients

  • 12 ounce package hearts of palm noodles
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • ¼ cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin
  • 1 tablespoon sambal oelek
  • scallions and sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 8 ounces ground chicken

Instructions

  1. 1

Thoroughly rinse the hearts of palm noodles in cold water using a colander, then allow them to drain completely.

  2. 2

In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat and add the chicken. Sauté for about 5 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks until it is browned and fully cooked.

  3. 3

Shift the cooked chicken to one side of the skillet.

  4. 4

Lower the heat to medium, then incorporate 1 teaspoon of oil along with the garlic, ginger, and the drained noodles. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, allowing the noodles to warm through.

  5. 5

Pour in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sambal, cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes to allow the flavors to combine and develop.

  6. 6

Mix everything together thoroughly and divide the dish between two plates.

  7. 7

Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced scallions, and additional sambal if you prefer extra heat.
