Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh string beans
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • salt and fresh pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Fill a sizable saucepan with about 1 inch of water and bring it to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

Carefully place a steamer basket loaded with the green beans into the boiling water, cover the pot securely, and steam for 4 to 5 minutes (be cautious not to overcook), until the beans reach a tender-crisp texture. Drain the beans thoroughly.

  3. 3

In a skillet, warm some olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it turns a lovely golden brown.

  4. 4

Incorporate the string beans into the skillet, seasoning with salt and freshly ground pepper to your liking, and toss everything together until evenly mixed.
