Thoroughly press out all excess moisture from the zucchini using paper towels. In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, zucchini, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into five equal patties, each weighing 4 ounces, ensuring they are not too thick for even cooking.
STOVE: Place a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Once the skillet is hot, apply a light spray of oil. Carefully add the patties to the pan, then lower the heat to a simmer. Cook on one side until a nice brown crust forms, then flip the patties. Continue to flip occasionally to prevent burning and ensure they are fully cooked through.
If you prefer grilling: Make sure to thoroughly clean the grill before use and apply a light coat of oil spray to avoid sticking. Grill the patties over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes per side, or until the center is no longer pink.
