Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup seasoned whole wheat or gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1.3 lb ground turkey

Equipment Needed

  • Small Skillet (I swear by this non-stick Le Creuset pan)
  • Loaf Pan (These Le Creuset ones are stunning)

Instructions

  1. 1

Begin by setting your oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

In a small mixing bowl, blend together 2 tablespoons of ketchup with Worcestershire sauce until well combined.

  3. 3

In a small frying pan, warm olive oil over low heat, adding diced onion. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes until the onion becomes translucent, then take off the heat.

  4. 4

In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the ground turkey, sautéed onion, breadcrumbs, egg, 1/4 cup of ketchup, salt, and marjoram until evenly incorporated.

  5. 5

Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan or mold it into a loaf shape and place it on a baking sheet. Drizzle the sauce over the top.

  6. 6

Bake the meatloaf uncovered for 55 to 60 minutes. Once done, take it out of the oven and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
