Crostini are delightful, small appetizers crafted from crisp slices of toasted baguette, each one ready to be adorned with your favorite toppings. In this particular recipe, I’ve opted for a nutritious white bean spread, finished off with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar for an added touch of flavor.

Slice the bread into thin pieces, approximately 1/4 inch in thickness.
Toast the slices in the oven at 400°F, lightly spraying them with olive oil and flipping them once until they achieve a golden-brown color, or alternatively, grill them with a gentle mist of olive oil until they are nicely browned.
After the bread has been toasted, take a garlic clove, cut it in half, and gently rub the cut side over each slice. Your bread is now prepped for the topping.
In a small blender or a magic bullet, combine all the ingredients for the white bean spread and blend until smooth. If the mixture appears too thick, feel free to add a splash more water to achieve your desired consistency.
Spoon 2 teaspoons of the white bean puree onto each slice of bread and finish with a sprinkle of fresh thyme for garnish.
Just before serving, drizzle a small amount of balsamic vinegar over the crostini for an added touch of flavor.
